Financial Assistance for Assisted Living
As people get older, they may find that they need more assistance with day-to-day tasks. This is where assisted living comes in – it provides seniors with personalized care and support so they can live as independently as possible.
What Is Financial Assistance for Assisted Living?
Choosing assisted living can be a difficult decision for both seniors and their families. The cost of assisted living can vary greatly, making it difficult to determine the best option without breaking the bank. Fortunately, there is financial assistance available to help offset these costs. Many states offer assistance through Medicaid, while private organizations such as regional Area Agencies on Aging or Veterans Affairs often have funding available for qualified individuals. It’s important to thoroughly research all options and apply for any applicable assistance in a timely manner. Assisted living may come with a hefty price tag, but with proper planning and the help of financial assistance programs, it can become a more affordable reality for those in need of additional care and support.
Government Programs
Medicaid
Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that provides health care coverage to low-income individuals and families. We are pleased to accept Medicaid Long Term Funding for our residents. To be eligible, the resident’s doctor must fill out form 1823 and we will conduct an assessment as well. When both documents have been completed, we can confirm that the resident is indeed applicable for Assisted Living services here at our facility.

Veterans may be eligible for a variety of benefits, including the Aid and Attendance program, which provides financial assistance for assisted living.
State Programs
Many states offer programs that provide financial assistance for assisted living. These programs may be administered through the state’s Department of Health and Human Services or other state agencies.
